Weaverthorpe is situated in the Great Wolds Valley in North Yorkshire midway between Scarborough and Malton. Our small community is ideally situated on the Wolds within striking distance of both the coast and moors.
Weaverthorpe Parish Council is responsible for Grass Cutting, Street Lighting and the maintenance of the Village Green. We also provide input to planning applications which are approved by Ryedale District Council.
Weaverthorpe School Closure
North Yorkshire County Council have made a decision to close Weaverthorpe School, in the time since the original notification was issued Weaverthorpe Parish Council have been working to keep the school open.
